HCLSoftware Releases Swiss Machining in HCL CAMWorks 2026
Swiss-style CNC machines are renowned for manufacturing small, high-precision components through simultaneous milling and turning operations. Programming these machines has traditionally been complex and time intensive. HCL CAMWorks addresses these challenges with an integrated, automated, and user-friendly solution designed to streamline Swiss machining workflows.
HCL CAMWorks 2026 offers flexibility as a fully integrated CAD/CAM solution or as a standalone CAM system. Full integration with industry-leading CAD systems – including SOLIDWORKS®, 3DEXPERIENCE SOLIDWORKS®, and Solid Edge – provides seamless workflows because the CADand CAM data for part files are saved in a single file, ensuring that toolpaths update automatically when design changes occur.
HCL CAMWorks 2026 gives users the ability to program industry-standard Swiss machine types with synchronization of a variety of CNC machine components, including main and sub-spindles, gang slides, turrets, tool posts, and B-axis rotary attachments.
For efficient machining of long parts, HCL CAMWorks provides an innovative segmentation manager that allows user-defined part segments with various lengths and supports overlap for machining options, such as threads and surface finishing. Once the split planes are defined, toolpaths can be split with one click, and the operations and toolpaths will update automatically if the segments are changed.
Efficient machining is confirmed with true G-code simulation and machine aware programming in HCL CAMWorks. Machine aware programming provides programming on a digital twin of the Swiss machine, reducing errors and improving setup accuracy. Virtual Machine delivers true G-code simulation to validate part programs, eliminate the need for dry runs, and prevent collisions to ensure safe, efficient machining.
HCL CAMWorks 2026 sets a new benchmark for Swiss machining by combining automation, CAD/CAM integration, and simulation accuracy to help manufacturers achieve superior precision and productivity.
